Tom Langmyer is President & CEO of Great Lakes Media Corporation.
Previously, he was Vice President & General Manager of WTMJ and WKTI in Milwaukee and also was National Vice President, News/Talk/Sports Programming for Scripps Media.
A broadcast veteran, he also served as Vice President & General Manager of Tribune's WGN Radio in Chicago.
Before moving to Chicago, Langmyer was Vice President & General Manager of CBS Radio's KMOX in St. Louis and Vice President, Programming for CBS Radio's News/Talk Stations Group.
Langmyer's background includes consulting broadcasting companies throughout the U.S.
He was inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 2018. In 2015, Langmyer was awarded the NAB/RAB Radio Wayne Award, as General Manager of the Year. In 2009, while at WGN, he was named General Manager of the Year by Radio & Records.
He has also been recognized numerous times for his work as a top corporate executive, programmer and general manager by several top industry publications and organizations.
Langmyer currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Alliance for the Great Lakes. He is active with the National Radio Hall of Fame & Museum and the Buffalo Broadcasters Association.
An author, Langmyer wrote the book Lake Erie: History and Views, a non-fiction work, which was published in 2010.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Langmyer holds a B.A. from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. He and his wife Mary live in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.
