Tom Langmyer - President/CEO GLMG

CEO - Tom Langmyer

Tom Langmyer is CEO of Great Lakes Media Corporation.

Before founding Great Lakes Media Corp., he was Vice President & General Manager of WTMJ and WKTI in Milwaukee and also was National Vice President, News/Talk/Sports Programming for Scripps Media.

A broadcast veteran, he also served as Vice President & General Manager of Tribune's WGN Radio in Chicago.  

Before moving to Chicago, Langmyer was Vice President & General Manager of CBS Radio's KMOX in St. Louis and Vice President, Programming for CBS Radio's News/Talk Stations Group.

Langmyer's background includes consulting broadcasting companies throughout the U.S.

He was inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 2018.  In 2015, Langmyer was awarded the NAB/RAB Radio Wayne Award, as General Manager of the Year.  In 2009, while at WGN, he was named General Manager of the Year by Radio & Records.

He has also been recognized numerous times for his work as a top corporate executive, programmer and general manager by several top industry publications and organizations.

Langmyer currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Alliance for the Great Lakes.  He is active with the National Radio Hall of Fame & Museum and the Buffalo Broadcasters Association.

An author, Langmyer wrote the book Lake Erie: History and Views, a non-fiction work, which was published in 2010. 


A native of Buffalo, New York, Langmyer holds a B.A. from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania.  He and his wife Mary reside in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.


Vice Chairman - John Gehron

 John Gehron is Vice Chairman of Great Lakes Media Corporation.

Gehron, who is Chairman of AccuRadio, one of today’s leading Internet Radio companies, moved into major market media in Philadelphia for CBS’s WCAU-FM, the first major market radio station to try the oldies format, then on to WCBS-FM in New York. 

In Chicago, Gehron spent more than a decade as Program Director and later General Manager of WLS. He re-joined CBS Radio to be General Manager of WODS in Boston, then returned to Chicago with Pyramid Broadcasting as Vice President and General Manager of WNUA-FM. There, he created a national standard for the “smooth jazz” format.

Following Chicago, Gehron moved on to senior officer and COO positions at American Radio Systems and Infinity Broadcasting.  He served as Senior Vice President of Programming for all of Infinity/CBS.

John was Regional Vice President and Market Manager for Clear Channel Chicago’s seven stations as well as handling the surrounding region including Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In 2006, he became General Manager of the newly formed Harpo Radio to build the XM’s, “Oprah and Friends.”


Senior Vice President, Operations - Chris Petersen

 Chris Petersen is Senior Vice President, Operations of Great Lakes Media Corporation.

He is also CEO of On Brand Media, which works with clients to help them navigate the rapidly evolving business landscape.


Previously, Petersen served as President & CEO of Brandstand Group, a national chain restaurant brand development firm.  He was President & CEO of broadband services (cable) provider Prime Time Broadband, Senior Vice President for Space Media at aerospace company SPACEHAB, President & CEO at PR services firm NewsUSA, President of the NSE Radio Network, General Manager of radio station and newspaper owner Lakes Country Communications and Producer of Space Shuttle Television at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.

Petersen started his career in radio a radio in Western New York before moving to Houston, where he served as a news anchor for KTRH-AM and worked at KPRC-AM, KYST, KBTL and KRBE and as Program Director for KXKX.  He also was a sportscaster for KHOU-TV in Houston.

He  has served in roles across several business sectors and designed and executed multiple successful strategic plans including turnarounds, recruited and developed leadership teams, driven rapid sales and profit increases, and managed to regulatory compliance.

Petersen has served in senior management of publicly-held companies and in the private sector and has also worked with government agencies and non-profit organizations.  He has served on several corporate Boards of Directors.

A Native of Penn Yan, New York, Petersen Majored in Political Science and Journalism at the University of Houston.  He and his wife Barb reside in St. Petersburg, Florida.


Senior Vice President, Digital - Bill Zaccheo

Bill Zaccheo has more than 25 years of senior management experience with global media companies where he has been responsible for all critical operating divisions.

Zaccheo serves as Vice Chairman of On Brand Media. He has supplemented his corporate experience through high-level consulting projects in today’s explosive digital environment.


Throughout his career, Zaccheo has been at the cutting edge of new content and delivery systems.  He championed one of the first efforts to stream video, both live and on-demand, via the Internet in 1998 with the multi-award winning ComedyNet.com.  He was Senior Executive on the founding management team that created and launched E! Entertainment Television, the team that launched the NFL on ESPN, and the early rollouts of HBO and Cinemax. 

His efforts helped propel each network to become the marquee brands they are today.


Senior Vice President, Broadcast - Gabe Hobbs


Gabe Hobbs is well-known as a leader in media who brings a wealth of experience in the areas of audience acquisition, content creation, talent development and leadership.

He served as President of Gabe Hobbs Media, a talent management, content development and media consulting company. In that role, he has worked with television, radio and digital media.  Hobbs’ clients have included The Wall Street Journal, The Dave Ramsey Show, the Tampa Bay Rays Baseball Club, The Blaze, ABC, CBS, Mike Huckabee others. He has also worked with Futuri Media. 

He has worked with individual talent including Todd Schnitt, Deminski & Doyle, Dennis Miller, Marilu Henner and The Fabulous Sports Babe.  Hobbs worked for Jacor Communications and successor Clear Channel (iHeart) where he oversaw programming of 280 news, talk & sports stations.  Hobbs worked with Premiere Radio Networks, where he was involved the Rush Limbaugh Show, the Glenn Beck Program, Trumped with Donald Trump, Costas on the Radio with Bob Costas and The Dr. Laura Program. 

Additionally, he oversaw the launch of the Fox Sports Radio Network.
